Superior Van & Mobility's Handicap Vans & SUVs

In 1976, Dan Cook Sr., opened the doors to, Superior Vans in Louisville, KY. In the beginning, Superior Vans was solely building luxury, full-size conversion vans. It was not until the 90’s, after his son, Sam Cook and his wife, Kathy Cook became owners that the business took a turn toward mobility. It was Sam & Kathy’s forward thinking and insight of a market currently being underserved, that they made the decision to add the sale of mobility vehicles to the business.

In 2004, the decision was made to no longer build full-size custom vans and focus solely on mobility. At that time, the name was changed to, Superior Van & Mobility which has transitioned to what today is the largest family-owned mobility dealer in the country. With sixteen locations across the South and Midwest, Superior Van & Mobility has now entered its third generation of ownership. Alex Cook, Sam & Kathy’s son has joined the company and is looking forward to continuing the growth his parents and grandfather built. Superior Van & Mobility is set to open its seventeen location in Ann Arbor, MI late 2021.
